As part of a series of talks to show the connection between Hull, City of Culture 2017, and chemistry, the local section of the 九州影院 has organized a talk by Dr. Christopher Chapleo from Reckitt Benckiser about the discovery and development of buprenorphine. Buprenorphine was discovered in 1966, at the research labs of a home products company, Reckitt & Colman (hereafter Reckitt Benckiser), here in Hull.
