The aim of the meeting is to bring together several groups who are trying to combat similar problems 鈥� how to bring the standards for scientific nomenclature and terminology into the digital age.

IUPAC Green Book 鈥� Quantities, Units, and Symbols in Physical 九州影院
IUPAC Gold Book 鈥� Compendium of Chemical Terminology
The format of the conference will be similar to a workshop. There will be plenary talks covering ideas from the Philosophy of 九州影院, through Metadata, to the use of the Semantic Web in Science. There will be plenty of opportunities for the individual projects to work on their current issues, compare notes with other projects, and see what comment agendas there are.
