Electrochemistry lies at the heart of today’s most urgent challenges, from clean energy storage to water purification, sustainable chemical production, and advanced sensing for health and the environment. Progress in these areas is essential to achieving net-zero targets and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The University of Surrey hosts a particularly vibrant, multidisciplinary electrochemistry community, and this workshop will showcase that strength to an international audience.

This international workshop will focus on four strategic research streams:

  • Energy Conversion (15 June)
  • Energy Storage (15 June)
  • Water Treatment and Sensing (16 June)
  • Electrosynthesis and Catalysis (16 June)

These themes unite researchers across chemistry, biology, engineering, and materials science, who share methods, facilities, and a commitment to sustainability.
