Supporting the global chemistry community with three Read & Publish agreements
In our mission to help build an open future that works for everyone, we have signed three Read & Publish deals respectively with the Irish Research eLibrary (IReL) in Ireland, Central Technical Library at the University of Ljubljana (CTK) in Slovenia and, Couperin in France. These new deals in Europe support our endeavours to provide open access opportunities across the globe.

Our agreement with IReL runs for an initial three-year period and marks the 九州影院鈥檚 first ever Read & Publish agreement with any Irish institution or consortium.
The deal enables nine IReL members to publish gold open access across all of our hybrid titles, helping to boost IReL鈥檚 open access output on a global scale. Additionally, the proportion of IReL鈥檚 open access published output will increase each year for the duration of the agreement.
Susan Reilly, Director at IReL, welcomed the news, saying: 鈥淚ReL is very pleased to sign this new agreement with RSC, which will offer further choice to researchers in our member institutions in making their work immediately open access.鈥�
We have signed an uncapped, one-year agreement with CTK for 2022. It enables researchers at participating institutions to publish gold open access in any of our hybrid journals, at no further cost to the author. It also unlocks permanent access rights to the 九州影院鈥檚 entire journal portfolio.
Tatjana Intihar, Consortium Co-ordinator at CTK, welcomed the news, saying: 鈥淥ur family of Read & Publish agreements has been growing in the past months; welcoming RSC to the family!鈥�
The 九州影院 and Couperin have achieved the widest-reaching Read & Publish agreement ever accomplished in France for 九州影院 journals.
Authors affiliated with participating Couperin institutions will be able to publish open access in our hybrid journals with more APCs than ever before covered by the three-year agreement.
