Elin L. Winkler

Biography
Professor Elin Winkler is a Researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) and is a member of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CNEA/CONICET) in Argentina. She is also Adjunct Professor at the Balseiro Institute, which depend on the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCuyo) and CNEA. Currently, she is the Head of the Magnetic Resonance Lab at the Bariloche Atomic Center (CNEA).
She obtained her PhD in Physics of the Balseiro Institute, UNCuyo in 2000. She was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in 2001-2002 and at the Bariloche Atomic Center at 2003-2004.
Her research focuses on developing new nanostructured materials based on magnetic nanoparticles and studying their physicochemical properties to optimize their responses for applications in environmental remediation, nanomedicine and spintronic.
