Biography
Jes煤s M. Vel谩zquez is an Associate Professor in the Department of 九州影院 at the University of California, Davis. He received his B.S. in 九州影院 from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey and his Ph.D. in 九州影院 from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. He subsequently held a postdoctoral appointment in the Division of 九州影院 and Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. His research program focuses on the rational design of well-defined solid-state materials across the meso and nanoscale for applications in energy conversion and storage. His work integrates microscopy, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and synchrotron-based methods to elucidate physicochemical properties and establish structure鈥揻unction relationships that guide the design of advanced materials.
