Sally Redshaw
Biography
I have over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working mostly in the cardiovascular, antiviral and CNS therapeutic areas. I have successfully led matrix teams of chemists, biologists and DMPK scientists through hit identification, lead generation and lead optimisation to candidate selection.
I have broad experience of many different target classes, especially metallo, serine, and aspartyl proteases, ion channels and GPCRs. I have successfully followed up on output of high throughput screens and used structure- and ligand-based design as appropriate.
I have been working as a consultant since 2008. During that time, I have provided support in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery to both academic and industrial groups. I have helped with a range of activities, including due diligence, SAR analysis and advice, portfolio prioritisation, funding applications, target assessment and therapeutic area reviews. I have also acted as an expert witness in a number of patent disputes. Additionally, I can provide an English language editing service for authors.
