Biography
I have a PhD Toxicology, am a Eurotox Registered Toxicologist, and have over 20 years' experience in various toxicological areas, including in vitro, mammalian, human and regulatory toxicology and human health risk assessment.
I previously worked at the Department of Health Toxicology unit and the Health Protection Agency and provided toxicology and risk assessment advice to other Government agencies and wrote papers for Committees on Toxicity, Mutagenicity and Carcinogenicity and various other stakeholders on the potential effects of chemicals on human health.
I am on the RSC Toxicology Committee, am a member of the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) pool of scientific experts, the HSE REACH Independent Scientific Expert Pool (RISEP), the DWI advisory panel and am an assessor for the registry of toxicology.
I now work as an independent consultant as TARA Consulting. I provide toxicology expertise to clients as well as performing human health hazard and risk assessments of chemicals in environmental media such as water, soil and air, and consumer products and literature reviews.
