This course is taught live in a virtual classroom through interactive, instructor-led training with instrument parts and consumables shown and explained. Small group sizes with plenty of opportunities to ask questions through live Q&A.
This module focuses on the information that can be gained from a chromatogram and mass spectrum, looking at how to undertake data analysis and perform library searching. The reasons for performing the analysis are discussed including qualitative analysis, identification, quantitation and semi-quantitation.
At the end of the course, delegates will have learnt how to undertake data analysis, how to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis. Delegates will also have gained an understanding of the different types of semi-quantitative analysis and their limitations.
This is module 7 of the Virtual Classroom Training: Practical Essentials of GC & GC-MS (total 18 hours over 5 days) and the Virtual Classroom Training: Complete GC & GC-MS (total 30 hours over 9 days).
Prerequisites
This course is for those who have limited knowledge of gas chromatography and would like to learn more about this particular stage of sample analysis.
