In this module, first the types of LC system classifications are explained. Following this, the analytical columns used in liquid chromatography are covered in detail (stationary phase, particle size etc.) including the various separation mechanisms at play, normal phase, reverse phase and HILIC.

Delegates will learn how to select an appropriate LC column (dimensions and stationary phase) for their application.

This module is taught live in a virtual classroom through interactive, instructor-led training with instrument parts and consumables shown and explained. Small group sizes with plenty of opportunities to ask questions through live Q&A.

This is module 4 of the Virtual Classroom Training: Practical Essentials of HPLC & LC-MS (total 18 hours over 5 days) and the Virtual Classroom Training: Complete HPLC & LC-MS (total 34 hours over 9 days).

Prerequisites

This course is for those who have a basic knowledge of liquid chromatography and would like to learn more about this particular section of the instrument.
