The only way of knowing what's going on inside your steam system is by testing your water and understanding what's happening. Run a safer and more energy efficient system, prolong plant life and limit downtime. The Combustion Engineering Association have developed a new course aimed at water testing for people with minimal knowledge of chemistry and water.

The two day programme includes:

• The basics of water and water treatment
• Obtaining good quality samples safely
• Types of test kits
• Practical testing session
• Recording and interpretation of results
• Scale
• Corrosion
• Condensate
• How testing can save money
• Industry guidance and legal requirements

There will be an assessment at the end of the two days.

Additional information

Successful candidates will receive a certificate of acheivement confirming their Steam Boiler Water Treatment Certification, valid for five years, together with an identification card.
