Sustainability - A Life Cycle Approach

24 September 2020 18:30-19:40, United Kingdom

Introduction
Life cycle assessment has emerged as a laudable tool to support decision making when understanding the wider environmental impacts associated with product systems and activities. But real-world decisions require that much wider considerations need to be addressed to achieve sustainability in practice. This lecture looks at the need for life cycle approaches to be also applied to social and economic aspects of decision making so that a more balanced view of societal impacts is addressed and guides us towards more sustainable solutions.

This online event replaces the event scheduled for 17 September in Burlington House, now cancelled.
