Introduction

Poor air quality shortens lives and reduces well-being for millions of people around the world. There are many technologies that will reduce air pollution and contribute to tackling climate change from improved cooking stoves to electric vehicles of different shapes and sizes. The experts on our panel will provide an overview of the problem and the chemistry behind it, how innovations in remote sensing and drones are improving our understanding, the chemistry of combustion, and the technologies that can be deployed to tackle these problems simultaneously.
